Wherever you are in your Christian journey, you are welcome at The City of Zion Church! We are a family of believers that extends God’s love to others as it has been extended to us. We are excited about meeting you and ook forward to seeing you soon!
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN I VISIT?
When entering The City of Zion Church (TCOZC), you can expect to be welcomed and greeted with smiles and hugs because we are a church family that believes in loving one another. Be prepared for an atmosphere
that will be saturated with liberation, peace, serenity, joy, and love. You may see people laying prostrate, kneeling before God at the altar, or interceding throughout the sanctuary. Feel free to participate as much as,
or as little as, you feel comfortable.
Be prepared to participate in radical praise and heartfelt worship, led by our prophetic Praise Team and Davidic worship dance ministry. Don’t be surprised by the shouting, dancing, singing, running, jumping, laughing or even crying that will go forth as a sweet-smelling sacrifice to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We don’t believe in sitting down on God, so we follow the unction of the Holy Spirit which can lead to out-of-the box
celebration, speaking in tongues, prophecy, and even healing and deliverance. We invite you to join in, so please come ready to lift your hands and hearts to God!
When you visit us on the first Sunday of the month, Holy Communion will be served. All who are believers are invited to participate in this holy sacrament.
We have an exciting Youth/Children’s Ministry called “The Truth”. Services are held in the lower level of the church for Early Education-ages 2-5years, Kingdom Kids-ages 6-12, “P.H.A.T.” Ministry (Positive Holistic
Alternatives for Teens)-ages 13-18. Overall, they will experience God in a fun, loving and teaching environment designed just for their age.
As a visitor, please feel free to sign your children in before service - as early as 10:45 am. We need information from you regarding any allergies or medical concerns your children may have.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
AS A VISITOR WILL I HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING OR BE SINGLED OUT?
You will NOT be asked to say anything or even introduce yourself as a visitor. As our way of welcoming you, we do ask all of our First Time Visitors to wave so that we may greet you. You will be given a gift bag
which includes a guest information card. If possible, we ask that you fill it out and return it to an usher. If you prefer not to wave, that is fine, too. We do not want you to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable.
IF I NEED PRAYER, WILL THE CITY OF ZION CHURCH PRAYER FOR ME?
If you are in need of prayer, please feel free to come forward during the invitation at the conclusion of service. We would love to pray for you. You can also submit your prayer requests on the back of the guest
information card or through the Prayer Request link located here on our website. Your request will be forwarded to one of our prayer ministry leaders.
WILL I HAVE THE CHANCE TO MEET THE PASTOR?
Pastor Orton looks forward to meeting visitors and spending time with members after each service. He is usually available at the front of the church immediately following service to receive guests and members, as
well as speak with those who have questions about the church.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE CITY OF ZION CHURCH?
At the end of every service an opportunity is given for all those that desire to give their life to Christ, be restored, or become a part of The City of Zion Church. All you have to do is step forward and come to the front of
the sanctuary. There you will be met with love by one of our associate ministers who will confirm your reason for coming forward.
NEED MORE INFORMATION?
